Bohemian Rhapsody | Mehendi & Welcome Dinner

We kick off the celebrations with a fun-filled Mehendi followed by the Welcome Dinner.

Everyone gathers together as the bride-to-be and all the guests adorn their hands with beautiful henna design patterns. There will be games, loads of entertainment and food. We hope that by the end of the evening, everyone knows each other just a little bit better.

Dress Code: Festive and colorful desert-chic attire, Indian optional.

Join us in exploring the breathtaking grounds of Suryagarh as we bring a taste of Rajasthan to you. Expect a gem around every corner and some surprises along the way!

Idana & Igbeyawo | Yoruba Wedding Ceremony

This evening, Shruti and Sayo commit their love and life to each other in a traditional Nigerian Yoruba Engagement ceremony. Here, the two families are introduced and the Sogbesan family formally asks the Ayyar family for Shruti's hand in marriage. This will be followed by a Christian wedding blessing. 

Dress Code: Formal Attire in Yellows / Greens / Oranges. Nigerian attire or African print, though not a must, would be much appreciated. We will provide headwear (Geles and Filas) for anyone who might want wear one!

Muhurtham | Iyer Wedding Ceremony

A traditional South Indian Tamil wedding where Shruti and Sayo tie the knot. Sayo ties the thaali, an auspicious thread, around Shruti’s neck in a ceremony called Mangalya Dharanam. This signifies that they are married according to the Vedic rites.

Dress Code: Traditional South Indian attire.

Saris for the women and Dhoti and Shirt/Kurta for men.  We will provide dhotis for all the men who don’t have one so just pack a shirt.

Dancing in the Dark | Sangeet + Reception

The party of all parties. The final hurrah. Let’s leave everything on the dance floor. In the first half, the groom’s and the bride’s friends and family put on a show. Once all the performances are done, the dance floor is thrown open for everyone to party the night away.

Dress Code: Indian Formal, Sangeet Attire.

Kurtas / Sherwanis / Bhandgalas for men. Saris / Lehengas / Shararas / Salwar Kameez for women.
